Albert Brooks received a heartbreaking lesson the day the Academy Award nominations were released in 2012. Much of Hollywood hates him. Or, at least, it would seem that way. Despite the fact that Brooks had picked up more awards and honors for Best Supporting Actor than anybody else over the course of the 2011/2012 awards season, he was overlooked by Oscar voters. Albert: it may not be a naked gold statuette and you doubtlessly have no idea who in the name of Russ Cargill I am, but I am here to unofficially award you the Best Simpsons Guest Voice Actor Lifetime Award.
