Amid all the hoopla of Brad Pitt's take on "Eraserhead" as part of an interesting series of photos and videos featuring today's stars as classic movie villains for a piece in the New York Times Magazine, George Clooney as Captain Bligh was overlooked. The irony, if you want to continue the misuse of that word, is deep: Clooney has often been compared to Clark Gable and very rarely to Charles Laughton whose spirit from "Munity on the Bounty" he is channeling. ...
